DIY Easter........ Peter Rabbit Cupcake Toppers

It's a tradition in my house to read "The Tales of Peter Rabbit," the week of Easter.  I still love the classic drawings.  So at the Haylei birds request.... I made her class Easter Party Cupcakes with these Peter Rabbit Toppers.....

In the spirit of Easter... I am giving you the opportunity to make your own.  Just print, cut out and tape toothpicks to the back and insert into tops of cupcakes.  You can get a bit more creative and add a card stock backing and ribbon if you desire as I did here.  I made eight different designs. Click on the template below to enlarge... Enjoy!!!

Again just print out on cardstock, cut out and glue toppers to toothpicks or lollipop sticks to insert into the top of frosted cupcakes. For wrappers simply print and cut out of cardstock and tape around already finished cupcakes.

Pull Apart Cinnamon Bread....

Okay so it has been a little while since I have posted a recipe... this one is oh so good! I like to bake something yummy at least once each weekend. I usually do this on our family movie Sundays and lately it has been different kinds of muffins. Now while I do love muffins, I am how do I say???? Quite sick of them. I was just racking my brain for something new to make when I came across this, yummy melt in your mouth goodness. To make it even better, it is so simple (only 5 ingredients), I wonder if you could actually call this baking??? This recipe is so stinking easy and the results are so insanely yummy! I found this recipe on the awesome blog Petit Elephant. Click here to view the recipe, oh and the best part is it is a pictorial.... don't you just love when recipes have easy to follow pictures???

The Yummy result pictured above....

Seriously 5 simple ingredients.....

Pumpkin Carvings to the Extreme...

Since Halloween is less than a week away... I thought I would share this awesome little bit of inspiration. Artist Ray Villafane began carving pumpkins on a lark for his art students in a small rural school district in Michigan. The hobby changed his life and he gained a following online and unlocked his genuine love of sculpting. Here are images of pumpkin carvings Villafane created over the past five years including the one above:

Add the eggs, milk and vanilla....

Beat well......

Add the flour, salt and soda...... beat well.

Stir in the oats and the raisins.

Mix it up really well with a spatula.....

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.... as seen here by the little birds.....
