If I traveled around the world searching for the perfect husband and father..... I still wouldn't be able to find a better man.  I don't know how I got so lucky, but I did.  The mama bird and her little birdlings are so lucky!

DIY Mothers Day.....

So with Mothers Day this coming Sunday... Happy Easter.......

Here are some shots of my bird family on Easter.  We had an awesome day...... the kiddos had three egg hunts!  The weather was nice, the food was yummy and the company really made the day!  Hope you all had a wonderful day!

DIY Easter........ Peter Rabbit Cupcake Toppers

It's a tradition in my house to read "The Tales of Peter Rabbit," the week of Easter.  I still love the classic drawings.  So at the Haylei birds request.... I made her class Easter Party Cupcakes with these Peter Rabbit Toppers.....

In the spirit of Easter... I am giving you the opportunity to make your own.  Just print, cut out and tape toothpicks to the back and insert into tops of cupcakes.  You can get a bit more creative and add a card stock backing and ribbon if you desire as I did here.  I made eight different designs. My Grandparents......

Here are a few photographs of my grandparents. They were married for 55 years before my grandpa (or papa as I always called him) passed in 2007. I can only hope that my hubby and I can follow in their footsteps.....

DIY Valentines Day.....

So I was saving this Valentines Day DIY project for two reasons... the first is because it is my absolute favorite and second because this is what I am giving my hubby for Valentines Day, so I didn't want to spoil the surprise by posting it too early. This is a great gift to do for your significant other for a cozy Valentines night in, which is right up my alley since it is not easy to find a sitter for three kiddos on a Monday night. This is so super simple to put together and is so fun!

The idea behind the project :

"For something simple, inexpensive yet still romantic, I would highly recommend the following concept: Instead of splurging on dinner at a fancy restaurant, have a cozy night in on the couch. A couch 'picnic' of sorts. Snuggle under a blanket, order take-out, indulge in champagne, popcorn and candy in front of your favorite romantic movie.

You can even eat on disposable picnic plates and cutlery so that neither of you have to wash any dishes afterwards!" - Amy Moss of EAT DRINK CHIC

DIY Valentines Day.....

So here is post # 2 for my DIY Valentines Day series. These are assorted toppers and cupcake wrappers to make your homemade treats a little more festive. Again just print out on cardstock, cut out and glue toppers to toothpicks or lollipop sticks to insert into the top of frosted cupcakes. For wrappers simply print and cut out of cardstock and tape around already finished cupcakes.

Since Valentines Day is around the corner... I thought I would post some cute freebies, printables and ideas. The first one is by far my favorite. I am planning on buying clear cello bags, filling them with assorted candy and putting this adorable goody bag card on top for my little Haylei birds Valentines this year.
