Easy Breezy Ham and Potato Soup....

So this dish is one of the first dinner staples that I used when I was first married. This is my own recipe though it is meant to be a base or basic recipe. This recipe is easy, tasty and cheap to make. You can change it every time you make it. Sometimes I use ham, sometimes crumbled bacon, you can add broccoli, cheese, chives or anything else you like. You can even use leftover mashed potatoes or instant potatoes making it a quick and easy supper to make on busy nights. The recipe can also be doctored to have the consistency you like. Just add more milk or chicken broth to make it creamier, or a little less to make it thicker.

Ingredients

4 cups of mashed potatoes
1 can of chicken broth
2 cups of milk
1 tsp. butter
chives , chopped ham, crumbled bacon, cheese or any other additions you may like

Place all ingrediants in a large pot or pan and mix well, adding more or less milk until desired thickness is achieved. Make sure to add in any meat or veggies during this process. Cook over med. heat until soup starts to boil. Turn to low and simmer for 8 minuets. Garnish with desired toppings and serve.
