Not only is this girlie so chic and pulled together, but she mixes vintage, thrifted and designer clothing beautifully!!!! And can I just say it makes me even more giddy that she has short hair like mine???? I posted just a few of my favorite looks above, but you can see lots lots more over on her blog here......

Eye Candy....

I've been browsing around recently looking for a new dress to buy to wear for Christmas. I know your probably thinking... already? Well I like to plan ahead and I am planning on taking family portraits therefore I need to have the dress sooner so that our pictures are done in time for Christmas. I already got my little birds most of their attire. Yes I know... already? I am especially excited for the little baby birds adorable argyle sweater. So the colors are red, black, gray and white. I found this adorable little red dress and was instantly in love! Then I stumbled upon the shoes... which were just too gorgeous! Lastly I could die and go to heaven if I owned this coat and atlas this coat would be the finishing touch to the most perfect little ensemble! Surprisingly all these pieces are available at my absolute favorite clothing store, Modcloth. If you haven't discovered it yet, go check it out here.

My Etsy Store...

I know it is a little late, but I thought I would mention that I opened an etsy store last month. Of course it is all vintage clothing and accessories. I am starting out small, since my time is limited, but I am hoping to expand the store and have many more items. I made three sales last week so I am super excited. Go check it out!

Doing Vintage Minus the Dress....

I was asked an interesting question the other day. A friend of mine expressed her interest in vintage items, but hated wearing dresses. This got me thinking. Yes we are all use to maxi dresses and A line party dresses, but you can do vintage without doing a dress. I decided to post some examples of what I mean.

The first obvious choice is an A line skirt, hey it's not a dress. You can keep it interesting by choosing something with a kitschy or bold pattern.

The next is a nod to classic 70's fashion, the onesie or romper. This is great with a pair of platform wedges and a boho bag.

Plaid button down shirts are always great, think Winnie cooper from the wonder years. Pair it with straight leg dark wash jeans, or a long trouser cut short.

Lastly something as simple as this cardigan can give you your vintage nod without being overbearing. The key to this is the details like delicate lace or embroidery. Pair this with anything from shorts to skirts to pants or even over your favorite dress.

Loving this....

I love this gorgeous dress from modcloth, one of my favorite web sights to look for dresses on. This dress looks so happy for spring, and is appropriately named May Day Dress. I would love to wear something like this in july once this baby is out of my body! I wonder if i could squeeze into this as my leaving the hospital dress???

Vintage inspired duds from ModCloth

If I weren't preggers I would be sweet talkin' my hubby for these adorable vintage inspired duds from one of my favorite places, modCloth. The prices are really reasonable, especially for the variety of items you can find. The only problem? Everything is so stinkin cute it's hard to narrow it down to just a few things, but I would defenatly take one of each of these!
